Faith Lutheran Church in Elma took up the ambitious task last year of raising money for an orphan rescue center in Kenya. The plan was to hold a few free concerts at the Bowen Road location, sell food and ask for donations. The church continued with that plan this year and has nearly reached its goal of $40,000.

Thursday concerts to start up in Tangent (Albany Democrat-Herald)

TANGENT Local artists will perform live music from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, starting Aug. 20, at Dixie Creek Saloon, 32994 Highway 99 E., Tangent. There is no cover charge for the free concerts.
